Planting Seeds
100hr Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
Yoga Alliance accredited
This program is designed for yoga teachers and birth workers seeking to expand their offerings or gain more knowledge to support people on the journey of pregnancy. This program will allow teachers to offer prenatal-specific yoga classes, or have more knowledge to support pregnant people in open group classes.
Integrating the pillars of prenatal yoga and successful birthing of rhythm, ritual, and relaxation (offered by Penny Simpkin), yogic and indigenous wisdom and current care practices, this program weaves elements of social justice, healing justice, somatics and philosophy into prenatal teaching methodology, and will serve to strengthen any teacher wishing to support all students through their prenatal journey.
In this program, students will learn how to support prenatal students in asana, breath, childbirth education and prenatal specific exercises to support pregnancy and labor. Foundations of intelligence will include understanding pregnancy by trimester and the changes to the various systems of the body, ancestral birthing practices, polyvagal theory and yoga philosophy. We will weave in common practices in teaching such as theming, dharma talks and sequencing to support students through your authentic voice.
This training is accredited through Yoga Alliance, and is for:
Current yoga teachers, who have completed a 200hr yoga teacher training, and have been teaching consistently for at least one year.
Upon completion, graduates will be eligible to apply for the Prenatal Yoga Teacher designator and 100 hours of continuing education through Yoga Alliance.
I truly believe that thriving parents are the stewards of thriving babies and the beautiful new futures we are dreaming of.
Welcome,
