Our time in Guatemala, lovingly dubbed as our ‘Magical, Mystical Retreat’ forever holds a special place in my heart, and I’m sure in the hearts of the 23 people who shared practice and community with each other.
The retreat to Guatemala marked the beginning of a crystal clear ‘why’ for future retreats, and was the starting point of these immersions all being themed to the remembering as a path to liberation.
This retreat, set held by the auspicious Lake Atitlán, started with 2 days in historical Antigua. Our time at the lake was not only filled with daily yoga practices, Yoga Nidra, tarot pulls and inversion workshops; we embarked on cultural exchange during cooking and weaving classes and a fire ceremony led by a Mayan Shaman.

Yuja Soul: Yoga for Black Women

Yuja Soul's inaugural retreat at the breathtaking Hunter Mountain in Upstate NY was such a special immersion in nature, movement, self-reflection, connection, and grounding. This weekend included variety of Yoga practices, journaling, Somatic Experiencing, meditation, hiking, Restorative Yoga and an inversion workshop. The weekend was supported by a thoughtfully curated seasonal menu, designed by Chef Kayla Phillips that integrated the six tastes prescribed by Ayurveda. This first or many annual weekend Yuja Soul. All participants received a complimentary yoga mat and pair of Blissfeel Trail shoes compliments of lululemon.
